How to claim, and who decides the outcome.
Triply does not handle claims
Claims are assessed and decided entirely by the insurance provider and the insurer named in your policy. Triply cannot accept, decline, influence or expedite a claim, and nothing on this page changes what your policy says.
In an emergency
Contact the local emergency services first. Then contact the emergency assistance line on your policy, which is staffed for medical emergencies and repatriation.
Your Triply emergency card holds the local emergency numbers for your destination, and shows your insurance assistance details when a policy is active.
How to make a claim
- Find your policy number — it is on your policy page in your Triply account and in your certificate.
- Contact the provider using the claims phone number or claims portal shown on that page.
- Report thefts and losses to the police as soon as you can, and keep the reference. Most policies require it.
- Keep receipts, medical reports, booking confirmations and anything else that supports the claim.
- Notify the provider within the time limit stated in your policy wording.
What you will normally need
- Your policy number and the traveller's details
- Dates, location and a description of what happened
- Police or incident reference where relevant
- Medical reports and receipts for a medical claim
- Original receipts or proof of ownership for lost or stolen items
- Booking confirmations and cancellation invoices for a cancellation claim
The definitive list is in your policy wording. Where it differs from this page, the policy wording applies.
If you are unhappy with a claim decision
Raise it with the provider first, through their complaints process. If it involves how Triply presented or sold the product, use our insurance complaints process.
